Throughout the summer months, Blitzgear and the Dilawri Group of Companies worked together for three event activations: Khatsahlano, Gay Pride Parade, and Kitsilano Festival. Blitzgear provided experienced brand ambassadors to represent Dilawri’s multiple brands with the objective to gain data capture and increase brand awareness.
Gay Pride Parade
The annual Gay Pride Parade is embedded in Vancouver culture, and this year Dilawri partnered with Blitzgear to staff the participation of Docksteader Subaru in the parade. Brand ambassadors accompanied a custom-vinyled Subaru through the parade while handing out headbands to the crowd. The headbands were a huge success, creating not only excitement for the Subaru brand but significant brand promotion through people wearing them after the parade. Dilawri displayed their support for the LGBT community in the Vancouver area and in doing so, increased the brand awareness for Docksteader Subaru and their reputation as a friendly brand in the community.
On August 7th-9th, 2015, the Dilawri Group of Companies took part in the annual Kitsfest, healthy living beach festival. Brand Ambassadors represented Audi Downtown Vancouver, a dealership under Dilawri. This event allowed Audi Downtown Vancouver to increase their brand recognition within the physically fit, health-conscious communities of Kitsilano.
Having multiple Audi vehicles present at the festival, helped increase brand recognition and showcased them as a fun and active brand that’s involved with the Vancouver community.
Brand ambassadors were tasked with promoting the Plinko game, the NBA ticket giveaway and the Audi photo frame opportunity. The Plinko game attracted attendees with an advertised 100% win rate for the branded promotional items. These items included sunglasses, basketball stress relievers, frisbees, and candy. The NBA ticket giveaway and the Audi photo frame opportunity were both a huge success as they generated not only traffic to the booth, but also online traffic to Audi’s social media pages. The brand ambassadors were very enthusiastic and excited, representing Audi to be a fun and welcoming brand.
