BRANDING & CORPORATE ID
Golf Progress is a fun, interactive and competitive golf-training program that encourages player development through friendly competition and systematic progress tracking taught by CPGA Class A Teaching Professional, Kelvin Ko. As a well-credited golf instructor, Kelvin came to Blitzgear with the idea of creating an identity to help propel his program to new heights.
After several brainstorms and chats with Kelvin, our designers developed a brand essence and a few concepts. After a few sessions at the golf course and even more caffeine-driven hours, our designers discovered a mark inspired by a golfer’s smooth and steady swing. The colours inspired by the progressive green planes of a golf course support the ‘swing,’ simplified into three distinct shapes.
The GP identity and art direction presents a brand that exudes progression through friendly competition.
WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
After a successful branding project, Kelvin was in need of an online tool for his students to track their progress. Through a detailed process including interaction, architecture, moodboards, wireframes and chats with the client, our designers created a custom designed website that suited multiple needs.
The site includes a two-tiered login system for his junior and adult golf leagues. In each league, every golfer is able to input their scores, successful GIR (greens in regulation) and putts per hole, among other stats. Each league also incorporated a golfer leaderboard and calender/scheduling system. Outside of the League section was a blog, gallery and information about how to be a part of the Golf Progress training program.
GOLF PROGRESS JOURNAL
Building on the Golf Progress brand and website, Kelvin wanted to create a workbook for golfers to track and manage their game and growth. After conducting extensive market research, our design team designed a Golf Progress Journal that golfers can carry in their pocket while playing a round of golf. Complete with statistic tracking, handicap chart, course notes and inspirational quotes, the journal becomes a personal coaching tool that is fun and easy to use.
