Lamborghini. The name has become synonymous with class, edge and attitude. Blitzgear was privileged with the task of designing and preparing Lamborghini Vancouver’s Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo, a factory race-prepped supercar, for its entry into the Super Trofeo North America race series. Our minds reeled from excitement and the plethora of concepts we wanted to try. From simple ideas to the most abstract, our brainstorming sessions with the team from Lamborghini Vancouver and Cardel Racing eventually led to the development of a single concept. Our purpose was to design a vehicle that showed the heritage of Lamborghini while proudly boasting our Canadian representation in the series.
By combining the graphic elements of the Bull and the Maple Leaf we were able to design a vehicle that did just that. The Bull represented both Lamborghini’s animal insignia and the attitude of its founder. The maple leaf represented the leaf in our nation’s flag. The two elements were brought together by following the aggressive lines inherent within our blank canvas, the Lamborghini Gallardo. The fiery yet sleek vehicle designs were accentuated by carefully choosing colours and textures that compliment the Lamborghini Vancouver heritage.
The end result was a design that was fierce, yet meaningful, and most of all, elegantly fluid as it blurs first past the finish line, leaving behind a cutting trail of brushed gold, matte black, metallic red and gloss white.
